| An unusually hot weather was experienced in the study period on 2-12 July, but air temperatures, very high in day-time, were dropping to -2-+3°C at night. A single rain with thunderstorm was recorded.

| Rodents abundance evaluation: |

Breeding conditions:
|
| Arctic Foxes were rare. Rough-legged Buzzards and Merlins were rare, Northern Harriers common, but only buzzards bred. One Hawk Owl was seen. Skuas were not recorded. Willow Grouse bred in moderate numbers; Rock Ptarmigans were rare. Ducks were rare and waders common breeders. The brief period of the survey did not allow conclusions about bird breeding success.
